The months leading up to the trip will be invested in preparing our team spiritually, relationally, and practically for a short term mission experience. We believe these steps to equip the team are key to both individual growth and team unity.
A long term vision for short term missions.
Our goal is twofold.
First, we strive to support the work of local missionaries through Energes Mission International in Diriomo, Nicaragua. We acknowledge that for our efforts to be most effective, we must work and witness in such a way that advances the ministry that is already happening in that community through their local church.
Second, we aim to be disciples of Jesus and expand our understanding of his global kingdom. We pray for a heavenly perspective of the Church that is multigenerational and multicultural. We hope that through this trip, our team will increase their understanding of God’s sovereign work around the world to accomplish his purposes and humbly participate in building his Church.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, we do believe that Nicaragua and in particular the city of Diriomo where we will be staying and serving is safe to travel!
“The team will generally be on the property here at Energes, and there is no political or civil unrest here. The reality is that it is really is safe than the US. I’ve actually never felt unsafe here in Nicaragua, and as of right now, there are no marches, etc. going on. The political situation seems to be directed at specific people considered to be a threat to the government but as of yet, Christians have not been targeted.” - Cheryl Mingo, hosting missionary

“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!’”
